History in the making

The inside story.

A fair dinkum tale of how Aruva Modular has become what it is today.

1992. Origins.

In the sunny Central Coast of NSW, two visionary brothers, Stephen & James Monks, founded Timberline Relocatable Homes.

Their mission was clear: to provide superior housing for the regions outside the main city centres.

Their journey was driven by a desire to offer the advantages of building in a controlled environment to people that wanted a home beyond the black stump.

The beginning of their manufacturing journey in North Gosford was small but true-blue.

Progress.

Buoyed by initial success, the family recognised the need for greater control over the build process and so expanded to a larger site.

This also allowed them the space to build their first display home, which enabled them to showcase their commitment to design excellence and superior quality.

Things rapidly evolved after this. More display homes were opened, and the business expanded yet again into a more expansive facility.

This era finished up with the business name changing to Timberline Manufactured Homes. This was so it more accurately reflected the superior methodology the business operated on.

2000 – 2003

Challenges.

The turn of the century brought challenges with it, and the Timberline family weren’t exempt from these pressures.

But they became a stronger entity as they weathered the storms of the introduction of GST, the Sydney Olympics and the dot.com bubble.

The need for quality and comfortable housing in regional and rural areas continued to grow during this period.

And so as they navigated the changing landscape of the industry, the reputation for reliability became stronger and stonger.

2004 – 2015

Manor Homes.

With more than a decade under their belt, the family took things to the next level with a new name of Manor Homes.

Another brother, Andrew Monks, became more involved in managing the business, while Stephen eventually developed another business called Interpod for his own family.

This period was marked by steady growth and the establishment of the Manor brand as a respected and valued name in the industry.

And this period ultimately included the birth of the Aruva brand after identifying a need for superior accommodation units for a variety of industries.

2016 – 2019

Improvements.

The organisation continued to grow, expanding to operate from 2 different factories as output increased.

The team became more focused on harnessing their resources better, putting systems in place to gain efficiencies for their customers.

And to showcase the ever-expanding product range, 4 amazing new display homes were installed at the West Gosford location – an impressive sight!

The consolidation of knowledge and resources during this era led to a stronger and better Manor Homes.

2020 – 2022

Adapting.

As the world grappled with the Covid pandemic, Manor established a unique service offering to support Bushfire rebuild efforts from the 2019 fires.

And they consolidated to one remarkable factory in Lisarow that provided them with additional capability.

They introduced steel framing on all of their homes, which provided significant value to their customers.

And of course, they celebrated 30 years of delivering high-quality modular homes – a journey that’s a testament to the unwavering commitment to do the right thing by their customers.

2023

The Future.

Aruva Modular is given fresh life with an updated brand, and a whole raft of new products.

But it’s not an entirely new thing – it’s the emergence of a brand that harks back 30 years, and has been in the making since 2015.

It’s the culmination of the combined knowledge and experience of a family that’s come to understand what Aussie’s demand for their accommodation needs.

Aruva Modular has landed. It’s living at its best. Real Living. Delivered.
