Learn how a pass‑through warranty works on appliances and fixtures in modular worker units, and what Australian managers should know.

When you’re setting up modular worker accommodation, it pays to know what’s covered under warranty. A common question we get is: “If something breaks, who do we call?”
That’s where a pass-through warranty comes in—and for smart Australian operators investing in their land and workforce, it’s worth understanding.
When we install something like a rangehood, tap, or electrical fitting in one of our units, that item usually comes with its own manufacturer’s warranty. Rather than Aruva holding the warranty, we pass it directly to you—often via a physical card or a link to register online.
If something goes wrong with that item, you contact the product maker directly. That’s the difference: Aruva covers the structure, the manufacturer covers their product.
This sort of warranty applies to quite a few parts of a modular unit. Here are some of the common ones:
Each one of these usually comes with its own coverage period. Some are 12 months, others longer. We make sure you get all the info you need to keep track.
Yes—and it’s worth knowing the difference.
At Aruva Modular, the accommodation units come with a structural warranty, which typically runs 7 years (or sometimes 1 + 7 depending on your location). That covers the bones of the unit.
But individual components—like a tap or a fan—are covered by the maker of that item. That’s the pass‑through part.
In plain terms, you’ve got two levels of protection:
This split gives you more clarity on who to contact, and it keeps things moving if anything needs fixing down the track.

Good question. There are two big reasons:
We don’t bundle everything under one giant warranty. We break it up so you know what’s what.
For Australian managers or owners who are smart about their investment in their land or workers, this setup just makes sense.
You want to know your assets will go the distance. That’s why we only use gear that’s strong, simple, and built to last—so your investment keeps delivering.
A pass‑through warranty doesn’t mean lower quality. It just means a smarter way to get the right gear into your units without holding things up.
We may not hold the warranty on every tap or light switch, but we stand by the quality of what goes into every Aruva unit. And where there’s a pass-through warranty in place, our process keeps it simple, so you’re sorted from start to finish.
If you’re planning a new project or managing an existing asset, knowing how warranties work—especially pass-through ones—means you’re better equipped to make informed, efficient decisions.
